THE HISTORY OF IVORY

Ivory, rock straight from the heart.

Originally from Australia's music capital Melbourne, Kenny now lives in London producing his ever better brand of songs for the everyday person. Not afraid of any topic, the content of the collection so far includes sex, politics, religion (well you can't talk about them at dinner!), social pressures, death, love and relationships; the very core of life itself.

"I have been playing this three track promo over and over again, there is something good going on here folks so check them out, I was quite charmed to say the least." AOR Dreamzones

"Rock of Ages! Seeing as the, oh too inevitable, middle age spreading is stretching Iron Maiden’s spandex to splitting point, it’s time to sweep the oldies aside to make way for a hair-slapping successor. When the way is clear, Ivory may just get your ‘radio rock’ vote kids!" Gods of Music

Now spending time rehearsing for his solo show in the UK's heart of London, Kenny is hell bent on getting anyone to listen to his talents! Working on a new era of songs, recording a new album is on his mind. The line up of songs so far is impressive (it will be one of those rare CDs where every song is a winner.) Gigs around London and on the lookout for support slots, it won't be long before you've heard 'the voice' KennyKnox.

Ivory (founded by Kenny in 1997) were accomplishing good critical success by playing consistently great live shows up until early 2004 when tragedy struck. The death of Nicole Smith who was Kenny's wife, songwriting partner and bass guitarist in Ivory was a cruel and heavy blow. Kenny went to the brink of hell and back before returning to this life to continue as the songwriter and musician he is. The determination to carry on and achieve musical success is running on all cylinders.

Past accomplishments include performing for over five years with the Australian Welsh Male Choir, on stage with Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo), Colleen Hewitt (Queen of Pop Aust.), Jeff Browne (Air Supply), performing in front of thousands at the Melbourne Concert Hall, Entertainment Centre, Brisbane Arts Centre, and Melbourne's famous Esplanade Hotel (The Espy), plus recording several CDs on which special guests appear. Molly Meldrum became involved with Ivory after the independent release of Mammoth and apart from taking their music before the board at Mushroom Records, encouraged them to hone their skills and create a more centred sound. Good advice which they proceeded to act upon, focussing on a tight and distinctive rock oriented performance.
